Alexander Rezk – Alexander Rezk is an Environmental and Speculative Anthropologist, a Druid of Ár nDraíocht Féin, and an eco-activist scholar whose primary passion is finding ways of being in a world beset by anthropogenic climate collapse. A PhD Candidate at The University of Maine, he earned his MA in International Development and Social Change from Clark University, as well as a B.S. in Sociology from Worcester State University. Alexander believes that poetry is a form of subversion and revolt in a time of monsters, and that if we are to overcome the challenges that face our civilization in the coming decades, we need both our primal spirit as found in the arts, as well as our technical prowess. Whether in his research on the environmental justice dimensions of disaster and risk management in the age of climate change, or in his creative writing, Alexander hopes to lend his voice to the howling forest in this time of urgent and radical transition.
